A misinformation or just an innocent error can become viral in this age of social media websites and social messaging service. That is what happened in the news about the unfortunate death of Arijit Singh.
In the morning of August 19, a car accident happened near Mumbai. Three people were killed in the accident. The news was shown on almost all news channels. However, few hours later, it was learnt that two of those three deceased people were well – known personalities. The first guy was Gagan Kang and the second was named as Arijit Lavania.
As soon as news reached people and got shared, a wrong story also comes into the picture.
That was about the dead of Arijit Singh, not Arijit Lavania. Actually, the similar first name had created this problem.
People went fanatic after hearing this news of Arijit Singh death. Instantly, it became viral. Teen followers of Arijit Singh were most frustrated. They first believed the news on its face value, and then started to cry about the passing away of the King of Melody.
Well, that is news is fake.
Arijit Singh is great and currently busy for some music assignments. The person who died in the car accident was Arijit Lavania.
This is also a lesson for all of social media users. Majority of information being shared in the form of links, meme and graphics are turning out to be fabricated. And, more importantly, users must think twice before sending or sharing any news on their social media platforms. A wrong news can become viral and will lead to law and order problem.
